The Manufacturing Engineering Coordinator supports engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and justifications. This position will assist Production/Engineering management in the safety training, operator training, and preventative maintenance documents of manufacturing equipment.
Primary Job Functions:
1. Maintain a record system for commissioning documents of manufacturing equipment. This includes safety reviews, training documents, and preventative maintenance measures.
2. Resolve engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, and diagrams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards; assisting with installations.
3. Analyze the engineering methods used within the factory and identify the areas that need improvement.
4. Develop, learn and train/mentor others in the operation of all types of manufacturing equipment and processes.
5. Design modifications and improvements to all manufacturing equipment.
6. Take suitable actions in response to the queries, suggestions, and complaints.
7. Monitor and oversee compliance with all new and existing equipment and enforce all safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO); Shut down any equipment that may pose a safety risk.
8. Work with manufacturing management to develop and improve Standard Operating Procedures related to all manufacturing equipment. Contribute ideas for improvements in all areas using appropriate means of communication.
9. Demonstrate the Company's Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
Secondary Job Functions:
1. Maintain reliable attendance.
2. Actively participate in departmental meetings, training and education. Assist with training other employees and providing backup.
3. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
Experience:
2 years' experience in machinery processes, data collection, lean/efficiency processes, and manufacturing leadership. Required
Licenses or Certifications:
Lean Six Sigma training or ability to obtain within 6 months, Required
PIV license or ability to obtain within 60 days, Required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Computerized Maintenance Management System
Broad technical view and understanding of manufacturing process design including statistical methods that will enhance or improve the speed, quality and cost effectiveness of production processes
Read blue prints
Ability to use of variety of measurement and leveling devices
Good mechanical aptitude
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, interne, Excel, Word, and PP.
Effective time management and organizational skills
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving skills
Maintain confidentiality
